Quit Smoking Today With Low Level Cold Laser Therapy
Age Less Laser Centres combines the use of modern laser technology with the knowledge of ancient Chinese acupuncture points to create a safe, pain-free, affordable way to quit smoking forever.
This holistic, non invasive laser procedure has had an 80% success rate and is gaining worldwide popularity and renown as one of the top methods for quitting smoking available today.
When specific energy points on the body are stimulated with cold low light lasers instead of needles, the results can be simply amazing.
The laser light is applied to several external acupressure energy points on the hands, ears, nose, wrist, feet or arms where it stimulates the nerve endings underneath the skin. This in turn stimulates the release of endorphins (the body's natural mood elevators) in the body, much in the way that nicotine, when inhaled, releases endorphins that make the smoker feel relaxed. Endorphins give us relief from pain and stress and a general sense of well being.
The effects of the laser are immediate and you will feel the tension leaving your body. You will feel calm, safe and relaxed during the treatment and will experience no pain or discomfort, nor any other effects other than perhaps a slight tingling sensation. Some clients even fall asleep. Some people even enjoy the endorphin stimulation so much that they come back for a second treatment just to get another dose of that natural high!
Less than 1 hour of low light laser anti-smoking treatment can change the way you think and feel about your nicotine addiction. It can significantly reduce cravings and other uncomfortable symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. Most people find that the physical urge to smoke is greatly diminished or gone altogether after just one Cold Laser Treatment.
Although many clients only require one treatment to successfully quit smoking and alleviate cravings, we offer a booster/second treatment for up to 8 weeks after the initial treatment if you find you need additional assistance to kick the mental habit. We will also give you tips on how to handle the psychological aspects associated with smoking to support your success We feel sure that low light laser therapy will help you to kick the smoking habit just as it has helped thousands of people before you. We are confident that we can help you to come to grips with the physical addiction. What are these low light lasers?
The word "LASER" comes from the initial letters of Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Radiation here is not as ominous as it seems and refers to the whole spectrum of traveling electromagnetic waves, from radio waves to x-rays. Laser light rays used in cosmetic practices are usually found in the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum.
Low level laser light is made up of compressed, cold, red light waves taken from one specific part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Unlike natural light, it is monochromatic (comprised of only single wave length and one precise colour), travels only in a straight line (coherent) and concentrates its light in a single defined spot (polarized).
The first use of low-level laser light being used for therapeutic purposes came from Hungary in the late 1960s where it was reported to be useful in helping wounds to heal. Since then the use of laser light to treat many different conditions has grown exponentially. The applied use of pure, cold, red, low level laser light as a therapy to therapeutically promote tissue repair, reduce inflammation and stimulate other healing is relatively new to Canada but has been used in Europe for more than 30 years.
Besides anti-smoking treatments, other uses of low level laser light are to alleviate tension, pain, sleep deprivation and other physical imbalances brought on by stress, skin complaints including acne and muscular wear and tear. The points and areas stimulated by the laser will vary depending on what you are being treated for. Our trained and experienced technicians will be able to evaluate your needs and to proceed with the best course of treatment.
Low level light lasers are non-invasive and pain and heat free. According to the FDA, low level laser therapy devices are classified as "non-significant risk medical devices" and pose no health risks so long as protective eye wear is worn. The laser is completely safe and provides no known adverse side effects.
However, if you are pregnant, taking steroids or photosensitive medications, have epilepsy or cancer or use a pace maker, then low light laser is not the treatment for you. It is not that any adverse effects have been reported, it is more a question of wanting to avoid even the slightest possibility of any adverse consequences.
If you have any doubts about your medical health it is always wise to talk to your medical practitioner first. Our trained laser therapists can answer all of your specific questions about the low light laser therapy and help you decide if this is a suitable course of treatment for you. Our laser devices are always manipulated by a trained and certified laser technician.
